Helping someone get to the clinic may not be enough. Support them once they get there.
THE 40 DAY CAMPAIGN RUNS SEPTEMBER 28 TO NOVEMBER 6, 2016.
SIGN UP and help us reach our Pledge-a-Protester goal of $1,000.
Every year, Atlanta-area abortion care facilities are the target of a 40-day period of anti-choice protest that results in increased harassment for abortion patients on the street outside the clinics.
This year they are planning on harassing patients at five clinics in the metro-Atlanta area: Feminist Women's Health Center, Carafem, Preferred Women's Health Center and the Planned Parenthood in both Marietta and Lawrenceville.
The Magnolia Fund wants to fight back against anti-choice harassment - and you can help by supporting our annual "Pledge-a-Protester" campaign! Each day the clinic is open, the protesters harassing those seeking care at Feminist Women's Health Center will be counted. Each protester who shows up will add to the running total being raised to fund abortion access in the Southeast.
It works like this:
Use the form below to pledge a cash amount for each protester counted. Each week, you will be emailed a follow up on the number of protesters we have counted and amount of your pledge.
Week 1 = 100 protesters X 0.25 = $25.00 in pledged donation.
At the end of 40 days we will tally up your total donation and send you a final amount for your donation.
All of the monies raised go directly to assist those same clients who will have to face the harassment of protesters.
We hope to accomplish one of two things:
Protesters stop showing up because they know each person is more donations, meaning clinic patients can walk into their appointments without harassment.
Protesters will show up as planned and help us raise funds for abortion!
It’s a win-win with your help!
